ARTILLERY CORPS COMMANDER VISITS 34 ARTILLERY BRIGADE, OBINZE
The Commander Corps of Artillery, of the Nigerian Army, Major General Tari-Timiye Gagariga visited 34 Artillery Brigade Obinze, Imo State on 30 July 2021, as part of his Maiden Operational visit.
The Commander Corps of Artillery was warmly received at the Headquarters 34 Artillery Brigade by the Commander 34 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Raymond Utsaha who briefed him on the operational activities of the Brigade.
In an address to officers, Major General Gagariga said his visit to the Brigade was to familiarize himselself with the activities and challenges of the Corps within his area of responsibility as well as to identify troops area of need. He further charged officers to remain professional in their conducts and to sustain the vision of the Chief of Army Staff in carrying out their duties.
The Corps Commander during the tour of the Headquarters also visited 342 and 343 Artillery Regiments where he was briefed by the Commanding Officers Lt Col Aminu Abu and Lt Col Philemon Malgwi respectively, he also took out time to inspect the on-going projects in Obinze Barracks.
The Commander Corps of Artillery was accompanied by Director Field Defence Headquarters Corps of Artillery Brigadier General Yusuf Tukura.
